This Colorado Front Range itinerary touches down in the Mile High City and explores the Rocky Mountain region as you drive North into the mountain towns surrounding the famous Rocky Mountain National Park. Take in the best of Colorado’s front range cities which effortlessly blend cowboy and contemporary, a day of adventure and evenings of great food, drink and local entertainment. Take a road trip along the highest paved road in the USA, take in Denver’s vibrant art scene, declare your love in Loveland and watch the wildlife roam while tasting Colorado’s renowned craft beer and farm-to-table eats.

Look out for wildlife – there’s around 3,000 elk in Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park.

Lake Estes for beautiful views across the water, mountains and continental divide. 

Fort Collins is Colorado’s Craft Beer capital, with a blend of well-known and experimental brewers including New Belgium and Odells.

Itinerary

Arrive in Denver, collect hire car at airport and drive into Denver for overnight at Hotel Indigo Denver Downtown. Evening suggestion: take a walk and eat in Larimer Square.

Day in Denver exploring the art museums and neighbourhoods, shopping and overnight Denver.

Drive to Rocky Mountain National Park, explore the park and check in to Quality Inn near Rocky Mountain National Park.

Explore Downtown Estes Park and Lake Estes, overnight Quality Inn near Rocky Mountain National Park.

Take a scenic drive via Horsetooth Reservoir to Fort Collins, explore the Old Town and breweries before overnight at Hilton Garden Inn, Fort Collins.

Suggested morning activity drive/hike along the Cache la Poudre River before driving south to Loveland. Once in Loveland, head to the city’s sculpture gardens, overnight Homewood Suites by Hilton Greely, Loveland.

From Loveland, return to Denver International Airport, returning hire car at terminal before your departure flight to end your tour.
